Bespoke Labs T3 Blowdryer and Flat Iron

Since I have made the conscious decision to wear my natural hair straightened, I thought it best that I go ahead and try tome products that wouldn’t completely kill my hair. I know, I know, heat isn’t good for your hair. My choices are slim, straighten it or relax it. Get it? Here are the products that I am using in the journey. I heard tons of raves for these products, how quick they heat up and how they don’t damage the hair nearly as much as other hair appliances.

Imagine a blow dryer that’s actually good for your hair? You plug it in, and rather than blasting your strands with damaging heat for the better part of the next hour, you’re done in half the time and your hair is hydrated, full of shine, and all the more healthier? Whether you want sleek, poker-straight strands or soft, sexy waves, pulling off either has never been easier or faster if you’re armed with a T3. Infused with crushed tourmaline, a semi-precious stone that has unique electrical properties, this innovative line of blow dryers, flat irons, and diffusers is taking hair styling to an entirely new level. And now T3 introduces its new Bespoke Labs collection which combines cutting-edge design with visionary innovative technology to create the ultimate tools for hair-care” connoisseurs.

Doesn’t that just make you want to try it? The dryer is lightweight, and it takes about half the time to blow dry my hair. My mom’s roller set was looking a little less than curly, so I used the step-by-step instructions to give her some spirals. I used the 300 degree setting, and it not only got her roots bone straight, there was no smoke, no singe and burnt hair smell! In fact, I turned it down to the 230 degree setting, and it still worked effortlessly well. Don’t let the prices intimidate you. Remember, you get what you pay for. Check out the T3 Bespoke Labs Featherweight Dryer and the Duality Flat Iron at Sephora.com!

Vincent Longo

Vincent Longo openly invites spring with this beautiful spectrum of colors! These vivid little wonders are so exciting. I haven’t ventured into the land of Vincent Longo land. Just look at the add to the right. She makes bright colors look so professional and grown up! Both the liquid liner and mascara are waterproof, which makes it completely worry free. It looks to me that the model is the liquid liner as an eyeshadow. There is nothing more quick and easy than wearing a bright liner on top to make a whole look! Longo says “There’s no denying that colors influence our mood. Hip to a hue’s hypnosis on our senses, Vincent Longo created the C_scope Collection, a bold array of vivid colors meant to provoke emotion. Merging the latest technology with his inventive approach to makeup artistry, Longo has designed these strong splashes of color to bring a jolt of new life to the minimalist beauty ideal.” I’ll definitely be checking these bad boys out on my next trip to Sephora!!! View the entire line for some Springy pleasure!

E-Mail Woes

I JUST realized that my e-mail has been out of whack! I called tech support, and it’s finally all fixed. So, if you have been trying to contact me, everything is good now! Just in case you need it again, my address is Erin@ScandalousBeautyOnline.com

I have a billion (well, about 30) new posts on the way, so don’t forget to check back to see what’s new!

I am Super excited to share my newest hair staple line, Redken Extreme. This has (sadly) taken the place of my beloved Aveda Damage Remedy. I’ve been using most of the products for a few weeks now, and I can feel my hair getting stronger. I don’t have nearly as much shedding as I used to. SO. IN. LOVE.

Stay tuned!

Jada and MJB

How do we feel about Jada’s new ‘do? While I miss the short haired vixen, her longer locks are absolutely stunning on her as well! But this look? I don’t know….Please Jada, please, please let this be a wig or weave!

Jada Pinkett Smith and Mary J. Blige made an appearance at the Carol’s Daughter store in the Westfield Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, California on April 22nd for a special meet and greet with customers.

While I hear mixed reviews about Carol’s Daughter products, I LOVE my Hair Balm and Tui Hair Oil. I use them every other day. Hair Balm does a great job of conditioning my hair throughout the day, while the hair oil seals that moisture in. I also use the Hair Balm on my towel dried hair before I do my twists.

Chanel Inimitable Mascara

Chanel Inimitable is the best mascara that I have ever used in my life. This mascara does all the things that every other mascara promises to do, lengthens, separates and thickens. This bad boy can make eyes look seductive in a single coat. I love how this makes my eyes look when I pair it with smoky eyeliner! According to Nordstrombeauty.com, “Now, in a single stroke, CHANEL sets a new standard in mascara with a formula that does it all. A sophisticated formula and unique brush design combine to lengthen, plump and curl, delivering lush, long-wearing colour so precisely that each lash, even the finest, is perfectly defined and separated.” I tried a sample of this , and if my paycheck ever allows it one day, I would love to purchase a tube. If you are in the mood to splurge, than this is definitely the product for you!

JCPenny Salons= Great Deals!

I went to get my brows threaded by the infamous Daisy at JCPenny Salon in Columbia Mall (Maryland). She wasn’t in today, but what I did find was astonishing! They sell gift sets of different products, as well as individual items. I saw a Redken set of All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as all Chi and Joico products were 25% off. I’m assuming they run different sales and promotions all the time, but what a great way to get discounted hair care! They had the entire line of Redken, which is becoming my favorite haircare brand as the days go on. To see if there is a JCPenny Salon in your area, search here!

Redken Smooth Down

I remember seeing the Redken Salon in New York, knowing that some seriously hot celebrity hair was being dealt with there. Redken, In My Opinion, seems to be all about glamorous, luxe, amazing hair. Not all brands can convey that! The first collection that I wanted to tell you all about is Smooth Down. This is a line that basically wants to keep your hair managable, frizz free and easy to work with.
Among my favorites, Heat Glide, Detangling Cream and Butter Treat.

Smooth Down Heat Glide (leave-in treatment): Ionic Smoothing Complex and emollients combine together as a heat-protective smoothness serum to tame, control and smooth out rebellious hair. When combined with heat, the candelilla wax blends with the silicone to help spreadability and give a beautiful shine with intense smoothness. The serum has an anti-frizz effect and delivers glossy shine.

Smooth Down Butter Treat (rinse out or leave-in deep treatment): Intense smoothers, humectants, and conditioning agents work together to give hair the deepest, most intensive treatment. Hair is supple and more manageable, resulting in more resilience to mechanical damage.Edit: This is not a conditioner, it’s a styling aide. It works best, in my opinion, as a leave in. Many people that I asked about the product washed it out like a conditioner, which did not work for them, and when I rinsed it out, it did not work for me either. Definitely use this on towel dried hair, and remember, don’t rinse it out!!! Soft, supple hair is what you are left with!

Smooth Down Detangling CreamDaily leave-in smoother designed for stylists and clients looking to provide maximum smoothing and manageability for extremely coarse, unruly hair.

I used the three of these items to blow dry and flat iron my hair. I added a dime sized amount to my towel dried hair and combed through. First time EVER that my hair was not dry or brittle after I blew it dry. I completely noticed the difference that these products made when I went to get my hair blown out, the blow drying was TERRIBLE!!! For now on, I WILL be bringing these products with me to the salon! I have heard both relaxed and natural heads rave over these products. Another great thing about Redken is that it is everywhere, hair salons, pharmacies, beauty supply stores and everywhere in between.
